Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Kenneth Kaneshiro of Council District 1 to the County of
Hawaii Water Board. Mr. Kaneshiro is 38 -year resident of Hawai'i. He retired in 2003,
as a state conservationist with the United States Department of Agriculture's Natural
Resources Conservation Service.
Mr. Kaneshiro presently is a member on the Mauna Kea Soil and Water Conservation
District, Hamakua Lions Club, and Honokaa Hongwanji. He states that he is a
Democrat. If confirmed, he will serve a term to end on December 31, 2014, replacing
Millie Kim whose term expired in December, 2009.
