It is my pleasure to nominate Greg Gauthier of Council District 1 to the Hawaii County
Liquor Commission. Mr. Gauthier is a 12 -year resident of Hawai'i. From 2001 to 2009,
he worked as a business agent for the ILWU Local 142 and from 1997 to 2001, as a
bartender at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel.
Mr. Gauthier presently serves as a member of the Hawaii Home Ownership Council.
His community service includes past membership with Big Island Housing Foundation,
Kohala Community Workers Outreach, and Hamakua Filipino Centennial Publicity.
Mr. Gauthier states that he is a Democrat. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire
on December, 31, 2014, replacing Everette Souza whose term expired on
December 31, 2009.
