Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 475, reports as follows:
Communication No. 475, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated October 4, 1999,
nominates Mr. Jason Hashimoto to serve on the Hawaii County Salary Commission.
Mr. Jason Hashimoto of Puna has been the vice-president/manager of Hashimoto Nursery since
1989. He will fill a vacant seat left by Cornelia L. Anguay on December 31, 1998. Of no
political party affiliation, Mr. Hashimoto will serve a term to end
December 31, 2003.
Although numerous errors were found in Communication No 475, this report includes the correct
information.
Pursuant to Section 13-28, Hawaii County Charter, the salary commission shall consist of nine
members appointed by the mayor with the approval of the council.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Mr. Jason Hashimoto to the
Hawaii County Salary Commission.
