Subject: RECEIPT OF HAWAII COUNTY RESOLUTION 298-10 (DRAFT 2),
REQUESTING THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII TO
AMEND HAWAII REVISED STATUES CHAPTER 132D, SECTION 17,
(INCONSISTENT COUNTY ORDINANCES, RULES) TO ALLOW EACH
COUNTY TO TEMPORARILY RESTRICT THE USE OF FIREWORKS IN THE
EVENT OF A PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, AND /OR WELFARE SITUATION
This letter acknowledges receipt of Hawaii County's Resolution 298 -10 and
thanks Hawaii County for the notification. Distribution will be made to the applicable
affected City and County of Honolulu Departments and agencies. Additionally, we will
be monitoring the various Fireworks legislation packages as they are moving through
the Legislative proceedings.
