Subject: Hawaii County Band Supporter
Aloha Mayor Kenoi, Parks & Recreation Directors, County Council,
The Hawaii County Band represents you and the County of Hawaii.
The band is the spirit and heart of you and the whole county.
All ceremonies, parades, and concerts throughout the island provide
joy and happiness to all ages especially during a time of war,
national debt, bailouts, budget cuts, unemployment and healthcare
reform.
Music touches the lives of everyone listening to it. Good music,
which our band performs leaves everyone in a happy and positive
frame of mind with a feeling of hope that our county, state,
and country will recover from its present condition.
Hawaiian music, band pieces featuring vocalists or choirs,
classic band literature, modern band literature, classic orchestral
transcriptions, patriotic literature, movie themes, Broadway arrangements,
ballads, big band selections arranged for concert band, classic rock n' roll,
pop, ragtime, marches, seasonal or holiday music, and ethnic music
are some of the repertoire of our band.
After 127 years of bringing happiness to our island, don't you believe
our Hawaii County Band should keep on playing?
