Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 218, reports as follows:
Bill No. 218, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 740,
dated March 3, 2010, amends Ordinance No. 09 -64, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending
June 30, 2010. The amendment is as follows:

3301.43 Federal Grants — Federal Transit Authority General $717,678

010.311.5311.70 Federal Transit Administration General $717,678
TOTAL $717,678
The Federal Transit Administration Section 5311 Non - Urbanized grants program has provided
funds, through the State Department of Transportation, to the County of Hawaii for public
transportation.
Deputy Director Deanna Sako said the funds will be used towards administrative and operating
expenses in expanding public transportation services in Hawai`i County.
Your Committee on Finance is in accordance with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 218 and
recommends it pass first reading.
