SUBJECT: Request for a monthly update in May, 2010 from the Mayor's Energy Advisory
Commission (EAC)
I would like to commend the efforts of the Mayor's Energy Advisory Commission and thank Mr.
Guy Toyama, chair of the Mayor's Energy Advisory Commission's update before the Food and
Energy Sustainability Committee on February 17, 2010. Pursuant to the update provided by Mr.
Toyama, it was agreed that an update will be provided at the first Food and Energy Sustainability
Committee meeting every month to alleviate the disconnect between the Council and
Administration. Such information should include
1) Updates from Will Rolston, Energy Coordinator and Julie Myhre, Mayor's Green Team
as provided at EAC monthly meetings
2) Investigatory Committee Reports as provided at EAC monthly meetings
Please agendize this matter for May 4, 2010 on the Committee of Food and Energy
Sustainability. I request forty -five minutes for this update.
