Subject: Roads In Limbo
c J ll ; Y cL cr;:<
Aloha, My name is Thomas Fratinardo. I reside at 36-2743 Liloa roa Rur a}e.{ , a1 <
Homesteads, Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. I have lived at the current addre'4" Thce January 8th,
2005. I am submitting this letter in support of legislation introduced by Council Member
Yagong. Liloa road travels in a North direction, connected between Jardice road on the
South and Loyoloa road on the North. Liloa road is approximately .3 mile in length. Liloa
road is an unimproved dirt road covered by many deep potholes. During the rainy months,
the road is covered in deep mud puddles, which can be difficult for a 2 wheel drive
vehicle to navigate. I have contacted the Corporation Counsel in 2007 and was informed
that I could not perform any improvements to the road on my own. If this legislation would
assist the other homeowners on Liloa road with Any improvements, even filling the holes, I
am all for it. It should be noted that there was a traffic fatality in September of 2008
on this road. A station wagon operated by a male driver caught fire on the grassy shoulder
and burned to death in the vehicle. Mahalo for allowing my testimony.
Respectfully
Thomas Fratinardo
