The issue of "roads in limbo" is a serious one to those who live on one of them, or have to drive on them. It is
unconscionable to me that the County has for so many years failed to give the residents on these roads the normal
service which any county resident has a right to expect from our government.

I recognize, of course, that economic conditions prevent the County from stepping up to the plate and fulfilling its duty
at the present time. The time to act -- as in so many things -- was back when the problem was identified and resources
were there to do something about it.
As it is, residents have to maintain their own roads, providing their own labor and buying their own materials.
But a resolution has been introduced which would resolve a part of the problem by allowing residents to use, at no cost
to themselves, county materials to maintain "roads in limbo." This seems to me to be an excellent stopgap measure
until the County's economic condition improves so that it can accept its proper responsibility to keep up the roads.
Allowing residents on unmaintained "roads in limbo" to get County road - maintaining materials at no cost is the very
least the County can do. Please approve this resolution.
