COUNTY OF HAWAII . ,._.~--_._----"----'_._----------------------"C-- ~:(9.~. ., " STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 256 98 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF TWO CELLULAR TELEPHONES WITH A TWO~ YEAR SERVICE PLAN, AND SIXTEEN HOODED SWEATSHIRTS. " WHEREAS, Mr. Denny D. DickerisOIl has donated two Cellular Telephones with a tWo-year service plan, and sixteen Hooded Sweatshirts to the County of Hawaii, ParJGand Recreation Departinent, for use by Lifeguards at Kahalu'u and White Sands Beaches; and WHEREAS; the value of the donated cellular phones is One Thousand One Hundred Seven Dollars and Eighty Four Cents, and the value of the donated sweatshirts is lhree Hundred Seventy Eight Dollars and Fifty Five Cents; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property. ' NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII,.'OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, HawailCoUnty Charter, the County of Hawaii, Departinent of Parks and Recreation is authorized toaccept the donation of Two Cellular Telephones witha two-year service plan, and Sixteen Hooded Sweatshirts. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to -- George Yoshida, Director of Parks and Recreation, and.the Departinent of Parks and Recreation is directed to send a let- ter of thanks to Denny D. Dickenson, 78-6852 KuhinanuiStreet, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740. Dated at Hilo, Hawaii this day of ,1998.
