From: Yagong, Council Member•_r_ Re: Resolution No. 321 -10 This communication is to request that the Hawaii County Finance Committee form an Ad -Hoc Committee to be named Fuel Tax Distribution Ad -Hoc Committee. I humbly request that said committee consider the premise and contents of Resolution 321 -10, and use that as a starting point for discussion to formulate the scope and directive of the Fuel Tax Distribution Ad -Hoc Committee. I did not want to be specific in this communication as to what 1 feel the scope of this committee should be, although consideration of the contents outlining specific objectives in Resolution 321 -10 would sincerely be appreciated. I strongly feel that the entire committee should formulate the scope and objectives in an open discussion, as well as allowing Finance Chairman Onishi the opportunity to help form the scope as he deem necessary as Chairman of the Finance Committee. As you know, the foundation of the proposal is to provide the Councihnember of each district the option to set aside a portion of his /her district fuel tax allocation for the purpose of a grant -in -aid program for road maintenance on private roadways. I look forward to the council discussion and formulation of the Fuel Tax Distribution Ad -Hoc Committee and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at your convenience. Comrn.
