A. and was unable to attend the meeting yesterday (April 5, 2010), however, I am very concerned regarding the possible rezoning of property in my neighborhood. I DO NOT agree with this proposal and do not wish to see the intersection that is very close to my home made into a right turn only intersection. I hope that my opinion is considered. Thank you very your time and have a nice day. Comm. N (5 Ref. To: . Ref. Bill 184 - Meeting - 4 -7 -10 Attachments: Testimony for 4 -7 Council Meeting.doc Testimony for Council Meeting — April 7, 2010 re: Bill 184 Thank you for the opportunity to offer testimony on this and previous occasions. I believe that the following amendments, added to the existing bill, would create a development guideline that the community would accept: 1. Require a parking ratio of 2.0: 1 2. Limit building height to 2 stories 3. Require the developer to fund the repair, leveling, and widening (to the maximum degree possible) the pedestrian walkway on Kukuau Street. 4. Require the developer to fund a traffic signal at the intersection of Kapiolani and Kukuau Streets. A major concern of those in our community is the fact that even if this development is never actually completed, the potential exists for a successor development that will have similar issues regarding its impact to our community, and this process will have to be repeated. These provisions should apply to this proposed development or any successor developments that might be proposed. I believe that a development complying with these constraints would allow greater density without negatively impacting our community to the degree that the proposal now does.
