Subject: Mohouli Heights Senior Neighborhood
Dear Ms. Leithead -Todd:
We are proposing to develop a senior neighborhood on property identified by tax map
key 2- 4- 1:177. We plan to develop the property as follows:
1) We will construct a single story complex of senior residences at an overall density
of one unit per 4,000 square feet of land. The units will be in multi -unit
structures. The project will also contain facilities for senior usage, including but
not limited to laundry facilities on each level, walk -in showers for the ADA
accessible units, meeting and activity rooms, outdoor gardening areas and
transportation pick up shelters. As the needs of the seniors become evident other
related uses may be added
2) We will provide one parking stall for each unit.
3) The adjacent Kahakini Street will be used for emergency access and will not be
used for the daily access needs of the project.
4) We will install a fence along the west side property line as the project develops
with a gate for the Kahakini Street emergency access. The gate will be designed
to prevent vehicular and pedestrian access except when it is opened for
emergency purposes.
5) We provide a landscape buffer along the west side property line as well as
landscape the parking areas and grounds as is required under the County Code.
6) We will comply with the Department of Health requirements, including those in
force during construction.
We have no objection to having these representations being included as conditions of
Plan Approval for the project. Please contact me if you have any comments or questions
concerning this.
Sincererly Yours,
Keith Kato
Executive Director
