Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 147, reports as follows:
Bill No. 147, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 157-99, by Finance Director Harry
Takahashi, via Communication No. 498, dated October 18, 1999, amends Ordinance No. 99-70,
as amended, the Operating Budget ending June 30, 2000. The amendment is as follows:

The State Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Safety Office is providing a grant for
Police Department personnel to attend Traffic Commander's Meetings and conduct roadblocks
specifically for youths driving under the influence of alcohol.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 147 and
recommends it pass first reading.
