_q k We all know the mistrust that has grown between the citizens of WI- •_teat
.' country and their government. We all know that bills. such as his c-, . before
You. are u read• needed not only at the County level. but at the State and Fed •_ isVel as
well. But we have to start somewhere wheyt it comes to rail reform. And Bill seems
like an excellent place to begin.
We ask that you support and pass Bill 264 vyhieh will take us toward a morn • honest
and responsible government for its citizens. We also applaud and thank Ms.. 1•• 'acobson
for introducing this much needed and well overdue measure. We feel, as elti Jut here,
am• council member that does not support this Bill. is in denial of the corrup;• t we
must put up with on this island. If you are not part of the solution. and you our
level, you are the problem.

'p This is one of two - 'Conflict of Interest" Bills that you will look at today.
Again, we feel that although this Bill is. in our opinion. a very small step in
starting to curb corruption in this Conlin'. it is a much needed step for us to tai:e We feel
that even though this Bill limits "Immediate family" to only children and spous•:s. it will
begin to steer us toward a more honest way of conducting business on this isicnd. We all
know that bills, such as this one before you. are greatly needed not only at the Cowin level.
but at the State and Federal level as well But we have to start somewhere cv'i if— it comes
to real reform. And Bill 265 along with Bill 264. are w this County and a_ens.

We ask that You support and pass Bill 265 which will take us toward a more open. honest
