REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC WORKS AND INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS Re: Comm. No. 787 /Res. 329 -10 Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred Resolution 329 -10, reports as follows: Resolution 329 -10, transmitted by Deputy Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase via Communication 787, dated April 13, 2010, requests the Council's approval to accept the donation of Lot 117 -A (encroachment), North Pszyk Road, Tax Map Key: (3) 1 -8- 005:125, from William H. Flammer III. Article XII, §13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts, , which include the dedication of land, on behalf of the County of Hawaii. Council member Dominic Yagong asked Mr. Takase to explain the road conditions affecting the parcel. The existing roadway encroaches into Mr. Flammer's private property, and this donation includes a shoulder area. Mr. Yagong expressed much mahalo for Mr. Flammer's donation.
