Re: Comm. No. 788 /Res. 330 -10
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 330 -10, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 330 -10, transmitted by Council Member Brenda Ford, via Communication No.788,
dated April 16, 2010, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of children's playground equipment
for Higashihara Park.
An anonymous benefactor has graciously donated children's playground equipment valued at
$29,235.98 to the Department of Parks and Recreation for the Kamakana Playground in
Higashihara Park.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13 -12, Hawai`i County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
Ms. Ford and Mr. Greenwell thanked the donor and all who assisted with the project.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 330 -10,
and recommends its adoption.
