Subject: Proposed Amendment to Bill 211, Draft 3 — Communication No. 711.168.
Given current fiscal constraints, the Legislative Auditor's Office understands the necessity to further
decrease our OCE expenditures in the FY 2010-2011 budget as proposed in Communication No.
711.168.
Since the Hawai`i County Charter mandates compliance with government auditing standards, which
include Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements for all audit personnel, our Office will
be requesting restoration of educational monies in the FY 2011 -2012 budget.
