Surely one can see the beauty of Church Row that would be destroyed permanently with such a business establishment at the site. A gas station and/or fast food establishment would take away from the existing churches who have worked so hard along with many community members to make it the beautiful and serene park it is today. We support the adoption of the resolution by the county council and the application for such an establishment should definitely be denied by the County Planning Director. Imagine if you will...a service in progress at any one or all of the churches and a loud engine truck, vehicle or motorcycle riders pull in revving engines. One can't begin to imagine the disturbance this would cause. Not to mention loud voices and other disturbances that come with such an establishment. This is definitely a CONFLICT with the land use in the neighborhood. Of course we can't leave out the potential traffic hazards that could very well occur. We can't even keep a badly needed washerette open in the town why would we want a car wash? Clean clothes is much more important than clean cars.
