We are requesting that you deny the application, and that the Council adopt the Resolution submitted by Councilman Elarionoff. » We are hoping for a win -win solution for this community and all parties involved, and support the continuation of efforts to arrive at this solution. Church Row is a quiet, tranquil neighborhood in Waimea, and a gas station does not belong there. We already have four gas stations and three convenience stores along with those gas stations. The use of the Church Row land for this purpose is inappropriate, and conflicts with the neighborhood as a whole. It will be ugly and intrusive in this setting. The proposed use also negatively impacts the amenities in adjacent areas, and is not compatible with adjacent land uses. Traffic will increase in this area unnecessarily, and will cause safety problems. » If a car wash is included in this plan, it could unfairly draw from our already limited water supplies as well as impact our wastewater disposal, streams, and/or groundwater resources. The use of this land for this purpose conflicts with the land use concept map in the Waimea Design Plan. » Please take note of our opposition, and to the opposition voiced by so many members of our community. Waimea is our beautiful home. Please, help us keep it that way. >> > >Mahalo, > >Susan Chouinard and Jeffrey Pang > > Waimea Residents » © 2000 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
