First. as I mentioned above, I am a long -time member of Imiola Corr .. , ational Church. 1 have been the moderator of the church for the past two years. My husban *'. ; = .iiili Dickson, is the chair of the board of trustees of the church. We are intimately involves' f .:ht operation of the church. Although it has been the working policy of the church not to t.:•,., political stands, I can tell you that many of our church people strongly oppose this develcnn en; because the development will adversely affect the churches, the access to the park, the for the children and members v ho intend church and children who play at the park. Some of the people who gave tes inibny at the initial town meeting in June said that they moved to Waimea because of this exact slant in town. This is a time when we must be deliberp' nbor t preserving this area.
