One of my fordest memories growing up in Waimea. was the tiny i= :lic Station.
As our town y ew, my father thought that a stop light would minirne_c accidents
It was hunroyrus to receive a phone call informing me that our town. nouired
'a stop light .especially after crossing multi- freeways just to get tone. However,
it did make n realize how fortunate I was to have such a beautiful honietown.
In the past te years, our little country town has grown by leaps F.; boards. It
Now remindstne of any other suburb on the mainland...inclusive o' not klowing
your neighbor! .Melancholy, but Waimea has become just that
1 oppvsc the as station proposed at the churchrow location 'I \re. that our
town has ade uate service stations. Secondly, the pristine natur..' :: a! ty needs
to remain just that. More importantly, to allow an atrocity such . a3 cis will deplete
and degrad> he of Waimea town' ambience...'how can anyone c' 11:; rc:•place
that?
