Re: Comm. No. 662 /Bill No. 192
The Committee on Public Safety and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 192,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 192, transmitted by Council Member Dennis "Fresh" Onishi, via Communication
No. 662, dated December 17. 2009, is a proposed ordinance designating a portion of Tax Map
Kcy (3) 2 -1- 017:018 as "Lalakea Pond Beach Park," and amending Chapter 15. Article 8,
Section 15 -68.1 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), to add "Lalakea
Pond Beach Park" to the parks and recreational facilities schedule.
Your Committee heard testimonies in favor to Bill No. 192 from Bob Wilkins. Jan Moon, Jon
Olson, and Donna Saiki.
Your Committee on Public Safety and Parks & Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 192, and recommends it pass first reading.
