We don't think anyone is denying that they should have "a" business (and having it there is 'r
type. They want our sympathy because they bought a village /commercial property for a vex",
hard to sympathize and be understanding when they were very much aware of the sale betrvc - .

themselves in a bad situation and that is unfortunate, but it is not the communities fault and 4

My husband and I are appalled to hear that the developers of the proposed Gas Sta�,orile i. y ni pc j S now Ca
Wash, on Church Row have resubmitted their request to the planning department.
We are hoping that our County Planning Department will see that this area, although zoned vv',Iz gob' ommercial, is not thi
appropriate location for this type of business. There are many reasons why their request shc':r.i be lenied and we are
very sure that you've heard them all. We are hoping that the voices of many will be heard :Anil 'hat •rou too will come to
the same conclusion as our community has.
The impact that such a business will have on the entire area is so obvious to everyone, that i'. fr;'.27..us us how the ownen
of this property can, without conscious, resubmit their original request and yet add a car •.va:d , !, Church Row is a
beautiful tranquil park area in the heart of Waimea which is enjoyed by so many people It's c : of tie most beautiful
locations in Waimea. We do not want to see that changed in such a dramatic way. It will can.!... ? '.k ngerous traffic flow,
walking hazards for our children and for those enjoying the park like setting. Security will bee.: r LP a Problem for the
adjoining properties with loitering and an increase in noise and lighting. This is clearly not 4 t. xi Ic ration choice for a
Gas Station / Convenience Store / Car Wash. Our lifestyles will be changed forever if this !_ JI 'v r' to happen.
We understand that they have purchased a village /commercial zoned property and are within iirf it 0 3hts to have "a"
business there but they must, as a potential new member of our community, do what is best ^i io their new business
alone, but for all of us in the community which they expect will support them and help then is L.: co! ie successful.
If the entire community has made it very clear that they do not want a Gas Station / Conve a '1 ft. Sb
Church Row then what more do they need to know? If it were half the community for it and ye

In the meantime, we ask that you look at the intense impact approving their plans will cause . Consider all of the
reasons sent to you by the hundreds who wrote letters and signed petitions. Many people Ir:. worked diligently to
communicate the overall feelings of our community to you and now it's up to you. To our Cc m 51 M Ambers, please
consider the proposed Resolution for Church Row so that this will not happen again. To the r'c .'nty Planning Department
we ask that you deny their request to build this type of business here. They do have other c r 4r! 5 Business options
which will complement the area and not make it a hazardous place to be.
