We, at the Ke Ola Mau Loa Church, are opposed to the gas station / convenienc:: : VNE : car wash
being proposed on Church Row.
This type of business will bring an enormous amount of traffic into the area and will H : rr - :hange the
way of life for all of us. Church Row is used daily as a place of worship and a ryor..!arlui gathering
place for families. The peaceful setting makes it very inviting for our Kama'aina and r - .- nd visitors. A
Gas Station /Convenience Store is not at all appropriate for this area.
Safety for everyone is a real issue. Church Row will become a dangerous place to I i = for cur children
and adults alike. Many children currently use this area on their way to and from scl -I If y. iu approve
such a business here, the safety of our children will be in jeopardy This will be a r 11a7.. clous area
for everyone.
A Gas Station / Convenience Store / Car Wash will not only be a traffic hazard b
unattractive site for this area. The business hours of service necessary to profit vrlii
for many of the surrounding buildings. The service of alcoholic beverages will car;
concern for the area. The additional traffic into the area and the possibility of
night, will cause a very real security problem for everyone nearby. Then there is tl
water. The list goes on.
There are many reasons why we should not have a Gas Station / Convenience Sir;
Church Row, but we shouldn't have to list them all. It is an obvious bad idea.
Please help our community to keep Church Row a tranquil neighborhood and to sec ir
today and in the future.
