Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 161-99, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 161-99, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 502, dated October 19, 1999, changes the time element of three (3) Department of Parks and
Recreation Facilities Maintenance and Service Worker I half time positions to full time.
The Department of Parks and Recreation's Hoolulu Complex has seen a 40% increase in the
usage of its facilities since fiscal year 1995-96. Thus, an increase of manpower is needed to
maintain essential maintenance of the Complex.
Funds are available in the Hoolulu Park Complex Regular Salaries and Wages account.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 161-99
and recommends its adoption.
