Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 152, reports as follows:
Bill No. 152, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 503,
dated October 20, 1999, amends Ordinance No. 99-71, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
June 30, 2000, by adding the following project(s):
PUBLIC WORKS
Banyan Drive SPS Rehab 110-699-5691.28-115 $199,634
Funds for this project(s) shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - $199,634
Fund Balance and/or Other Sources
This project is for the rehabilitation of the Banyan Drive sewage pump station. The existing
facility has exceeded its useful life. The new structure with aboveground self-priming pumps
and standby generator will replace the old submerged "can" station. The new installation should
reduce operating costs and eliminate the need to enter confined space as part of the regular
maintenance.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 152, and
recommends it pass first reading.
