Here is a suggestion to cut the spending end of the budget. Put all County offices on a 4 day work
week. Keep the people out in the field, such as waste etc.., on the regular schedule.
Cut the Mayor's salary and his staff 20% to reflect the 4 day week. Cut all of the councilmembers wages
and their staff 20% to reflect the 4 day week. Cut the subsidies for the police officers who use the county
police cars. If this is a rotating situation, assign thes cars to officers permanently.
The tax increase appears to be smoke and mirrors.
Question . Whan was the last independent audit of the county, both fiscal and efficiency ? I'm sur the
state auditor or another independent auditor could find plenty of waste in both areas.
