I'm writing to you on behalf of the Hawaii Island Board of Realtors®
(HIBR) and Directors, as the current President. Our association is island
wide and has 678 Realtor® members and 39 affiliated business
members.
Our board has recently spent considerable time and discussion reviewing
the Mayor's proposal and fiscal responsibility. While we have concerns
about the re- structuring and potential impact of the proposed new
property tax rates , we are testifying in support the Mayor's budget.
We sincerely hope that HIBR can be a part of a process to further review
and provide input on any future decisions relating to county property tax
rates and assessments. Mahalo!
