I am a resident and board member of Fern Acres. We have a relatively small subdivision, just
under 25 miles of road. Since 1971 the lot owners of Fern Acres have spent over $2,300,000.00
on developing and maintaining roads in our subdivision. We intend to continue in our commitment
to make the roads of Fern Acres among the best in the Puna District. It is now time for the County
to assist those, like the residents of Fern Acres, who have proven that we have and will continue to
be responsible and forward looking citizens of our subdivisions.
I urge you to pass Resolution 321 -10 and support the subdivisions in maintaining their roads. It is
time that we address a problem that has been a reality for subdivision owners for more than 50
years.
