As you know the private roads in Orchidland Estates subdivision where I live suffer greatly from lack of sufficient money to properly maintain them. As you should know a major by -pass route runs through Orchidland following 40th and Pohaku Drive from Highway 11 to Highway 130. As you also should know the County recently repaved and widened Ola'a the County road that serves as the feeder to that by pass route. Thus the County has added to the maintenance burden Orchidland residents must bear without providing compensatory support to the subdivision's homeowners association.
