I'm asking you to vote yes because of the many subdivision roads I have driven on in Puna that are poorly maintained, despite the taxes all of us pay when we buy gas, and despite the fees that many subdivision residents pay to improve their roads. A portion of fuel tax money is collected for this purpose and that is how we taxpayers expect it to be spent. Watching an ambulance crawl along the poorly maintained road in front of one's house, as I did recently,.carrying a seriously ill neighbor to the hospital, convinced me that we all need to take responsibility for the poor shape our roads are in on this island. As our elected representatives, you are in the best position to lead in supporting these improvements. Resolution 321 -10 is a positive first step. Con Nc. l 73 2-0 Ref. Toa !(i Ref. NS AP 19 2010
