Here is Aloha Estate alone, we have experienced the risks and damage from the huge floods nearly 10 years ago, and periodic blockages and degradings of roads over the years, as well as the on -going struggle to obtain sufficient funds to maintain the inner roads here in Aloha Estate during hard economic times for individuals. All of course without any county help for these inner roads, or upgradings of roads in limbo. The risks to our health, safety and access becomes more important as many of us age, when we may need as rapid access as possible to exit our areas safely and timely enough to get the help we may need. In light of the above, and now understanding that over the years one, our taxes have helped pave and RE -PAVE again and again major roads, when our private sub - divisions were left on their own, with ensuing risks and costs, seems clearly unjust. Therefore, I strongly encourage EACH of you on the Council to support Resolution 321 -10 as a fair re- distribution of funds from Fuel Tax Revenues to all citizens who pay regularly and receive nothing in return for their closest roads.
