We were alarmed to !earn you are considering a proposed increased cfr‘erty tax targeting non-
resident property owners.
My wife and I have been corning to the Kau District on the Big island every year since 1998 and
finally made the momentous decision to purchase in 2008. Note this was just prior to the realty
crash where we paid top dollar i-ind then the market spiraled
With that said we were determined :c make te 5est of issues whicrl are out of our control.
Such factors include:
Economic Crisis Business Failures
Housing Market Nose-dive Non-responsive White House Administration
Stock Market Plunge & Slow Recovery Vog
High Unemployment Tsunami
Tourism Plummet The list goes on and on (as you well know;

thoughtless guests: C. Higher insurane premiums; 0. Advertising; E. Tedious complicated
Tax Revenue recorts; and E. Homeowners Association Fees.
