Subject: tax increase, please vote no
Dear County council member
I understand the council may vote to increase the taxes I pay on the condo I rent to vacationers.
I hope that you will consider the negative impact this will have on owners, costing me more, and the
trickle down affect it will have on vacation rentals. I will have to raise my rates to cover it, which will
mean a drop in rentals in an already poor rental market. It also reeks of unfairness, nailing the owner on
the mainland, where I cannot exercise my vote against lawmakers in Hawaii.
I ask you not to increase tax rates on my rental property.
