Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 167-99, reports as follows:
Resolution No. ] 67-99, transmitted by Fire Chief Edward Bumatay, via Communication
No. 524, dated October 28, 1999, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Maui County
Police Department.
The Maui County Police Department has generously donated a Radio 911 System, a Radio
Console MOTOROLA 911 System, a Radio Console MOTOROLA Centracom II, and a Station
911 Call Taker to the Hawaii County Fire Department.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the council, on behalf of the
county, may accept gifts of donations of personal property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 167-99
and recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be
sent to the Maui County Police Department.
