To the Council,
To raise taxes would devastate the remaining property owners in Hawaii!! As property owners, we try to keep the
island maintained as we take pride in our ownership.
Many property owners have just experienced a 30% rise in our property insurance. It is becoming increasingly
difficult to maintain our ownership financially. While it may seem a plan to raise taxes for strapped County
governments, the traumatic pressure that it would put on us, as citizens and property owners would force us to
sell.
The Council must think through the ramifications of such an irresponsible and short sighted action. DO NOT
INCREASE OUR PROPERTY TAXES in these desperate times. Help us, as responsible property owners,
maintain what we do have without throwing us into incredible financial hardship.
