We manage many properties for off - island owners and we rent these properties to local residents who vote in
our island elections. If you raise the real estate taxes, this will be passed on to our residents by way of rents
increases. Therefore, your actions will directly affect the people you are trying to protect. We have had calls
from many of our clients complaining about this increase and some have said this increase might force them
into foreclosure. This action will then force our local residents out and looking for somewhere else to live.
Please reconsider raising the Homeowner's Property tax on behalf of all island residents.
