I wish to add my name to the many others who are protesting this
proposed tax increase for non - residents on the Big Island.
I for one am against this and hope you will take into account my
objection to this increase.
Why penalize the non - residents we don't burden the school system
with our children - we don't ask for welfare assistance - in fact as it
stands now we don't qualify for any services yet we pay property taxes -
maybe the proposal should be that non - residents be exempt from
property taxes.
