I wish to convey my strongest opposition against the Mayors proposed tax rate increase that targets only
landlords and second property owners.
A selective tax on only a few is unjust and unfair. Most of the second home owners are not the ultra rich
as characterized by the Mayor . This is political excuse to justify the proposed tax increase. Please resist
the Mayors simplistic approach of temporary balancing the budget on the backs of non - residents and
rental property owner.
Targeting a specific group is unfair and possible illegal.
Force the Mayor to look to the future and make the necessary cuts that will eliminate the need for tax
increases every budget year. Just like our own personal budgets we all have to make cuts when our
income can't support our life style, Please make budget reductions and prohibit the Mayor from increase
the tax rate.
