I already have clients reconsidering NOT making additional purchases because of this proposed increase. Most owners aren't getting by with the drastically reduced rental amounts in recent years and this will serious jeopardize their ability to continue to own the property... and pay property taxes. You are killing the `golden goose' to continue to tax those who don't have a voice here because it isn't their primary residence... taxation without representation is never a wise choice... Please vote "No" on this... As a business owner I have had to cut costs for the last 3 years to just stay in business, and to hear that the County is still running with a 50% increase in staff since 2002 makes me very frustrated that they aren't held to the same level of fiscal responsibility that I am, please cut the workforce to balance the budget. We have the highest per capita number of workers of any state... I'm sure we could do just fine with a few less during these dire times. Thank you. Gretchen L.
