1 am against the County raising property taxes on the west side of the island. Do not institute a political
decision that pits the east side against the west side. One side deserves more or less than the other side.
Have enough respect for the people to realize that in this economically depressed time, raising anyone's taxes
is the wrong thing to do. Yes, it means that everyone in the country has to cut social program spending, not
just Hawaii. If the short- sighted council believes raising taxes is prudent, then do it equitably, for the entire
island, not just a selected few.
