Enclosed is a resolution accepting a donation of one hundred (100) No- Tobacco signs
from Tobacco Free Big Island, 1097 Pukana Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720. The signs,
with an estimated total value of $1,744.79, will be installed at various county parks
islandwide.

To accept and acknowledge a donation of 200 No- Tobacco signs to be installed at various County parks
islandwide.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation of a 100 No- Tobacco signs by
Tobacco Free Big Island. Signs are valued at $1,744.79.
Council action is also being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation of another 100 No- Tobacco
signs by Hawaii State Dept of Health. Signs are valued at $1,744.79.

RE: Resolution No. 367 - 10 : A Resolution Authorizing the Acceptance of a Donation of
One Hundred (100) No- Tobacco Signs for the Department of Parks and Recreation by
Tobacco Free Big Island
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawai`i, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above - referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In the event this
request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance
Committee for placement on its future agenda.
