RESOLUTION NO. 365 10
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF A SIX FOOT BENCH
FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION
WHEREAS, Mr. Franklin E. Zimring is donating a six foot bench to the Department of Parks and
Recreation and it is to be installed at Richardson Ocean Park; and
WHEREAS, this plastic bench has an estimated total value of $1,252; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on
behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this
donation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of
Hawaii accepts this generous donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Franklin E. Zimring,
40 Arlmont Drive, Kensington, California 94707, acknowledging this donation.
