TESTIMONY:
Subject: Support of the Administration

Aloha Council,
This testimony supports the Administration's budget. We believe
this initiative is very innovative and brilliant in this economic
situation.
We believe that the guiding principle:
"Every property owner pays to contribute to provide services for
the entire county is fair and prudent."
Exercising sound judgments and being sensible is good
management. This Mayor has made a difficult decision with the
least amount of impact and still maintain essential county services.
Increasing property taxes (adjusting rates 7 of the 9 property class)
on the decrease appraised value will have a minimal effect on the
average home owner and still will be able to balance the budget.
The County Govt. first and foremost mission is to provide Safety
for our people. Without additional resources will reduce services
and could be lost of jobs for some of county workers. In this
economic struggle we can't afford any more unemployment, which
will devastate families.
