Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred
Resolution 349 -10, reports as follows:
Resolution 349 -10, transmitted via Communication No. 836 on May 26, 2010, from Deputy
Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase, authorizes the abandonment and exchange of road remnant
"A" for lot 3B -5, situate at Ahualoa Homesteads, District of Hamakua, Island and County of
Hawaii, State of Hawai`i.
There were no public testifiers.
Councilmember Dominic Yagong interviewed Deputy Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase who
explained the details of this property exchange. The owners are allowing a direct exchange,
even though the County acquires more land than is being surrendered. All parties are satisfied
with the arrangement.
Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations is in accordance with the
purpose and intent of Resolution 349 -10, and recommends its adoption.
