Your Committee on Finance, to which was refereed Communication No. 559, reports as follows:
Communication No. 559, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated November 29,
1999, nominates Mr. Dwight K. Manago, of Council District 7. to the Hawaii County Police
Commission.
A lifetime resident of Hawaii, Mr. Manago has been the manager of Manago Hotel, Inc. since
1984. Of no political party affiliation, he will serve a term to end December 31, 2004.
Pursuant to Section 7-2.2, Hawaii County Charter, the Police Commission shall consist of seven
members...appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council in the manner prescribed in
Section 13-4.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirn~ation of Mc Dwight Manago to the
Hawaii County Police Commission.
