Re: Resolution Accepting Donation
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $7,500 from the Queen
Lili`uokalani Children's Center, Hilo Unit, 919 Ululani Street, Hilo, Hawai`i 96720.
These monies will be used by the Recreation Division of the Department of Parks and
Recreation to subsidize the fees for the Summer Fun Programs at the Hawaiian
Beaches Park and at the Pahoa Community Center.

Recreation.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a donation of $7,500 to the Recreation Division of the Department of Parks &
Recreation.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation of $7,500 by the Queen Liliuokalani
Children's Center to subsidize the fees for the Summerfun Programs at the Hawaiian Beaches Park and at
the Pahoa Community Center.

RE: Resolution No. 376 -10 : A Resolution Authorizing the Acceptance of a Monetary
Donation of $7,500 to the Department of Parks and Recreation
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above - referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In the event this
request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance
Committee for placement on its future agenda.
