This change would affect all properties with a market value greater than $500, approximately 6,000 properties, and result in increased tax revenue of approximately $270,000.) The purpose of the grant is to improve Hawai‘i Police Department’s ability to respond to crimes against women perpetrated through wireless/electronic communication devices.) These funds are needed to address community safety concerns with the anticipated increased traffic on Ali‘i Drive and Haleki‘i Street when the Māmalahoa Bypass is opened.)
