Comm. 866: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19, ARTICLE 11, SECTION 19-90(e), (Bill 267) HAWAI‘I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED) RELATING TO THE MINIMUM TAX (to delete language that provides for certain properties receiving a home exemption or totally disabled veteran exemption to be charged a minimum tax of less than $100. This change would affect all properties with a market value greater than $500, approximately 6,000 properties, and result in increased tax revenue of approximately $270,000.) Comm. 881: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO (Res. 370-10) AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A CELL PHONE/PDA VIOLENCE GRANT FOR THE HAWAI‘I POLICE DEPARTMENT; and (Bill 271) AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 10-59, AS AMENDED, THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2011 (appropriates revenues of $40,110 in the Federal Grants - Cell Phone/PDA Account; and appropriates same to the Police Department’s Cell Phone/PDA Violence Grant Account. The purpose of the grant is to improve Hawai‘i Police Department’s ability to respond to crimes against women perpetrated through wireless/electronic communication devices.) FC-32 Page 3 August 2, 2010 Comm. 889: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 10-60, AS AMENDED, (Bill 275) RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2010 TO JUNE 30, 2011 (adds the following Department of Public Works, Māmalahoa Bypass Mitigation Measures Projects: County ($1 million), and Fair Share ($243,000), to the Capital Budget. These funds are needed to address community safety concerns with the anticipated increased traffic on Ali‘i Drive and Haleki‘i Street when the Māmalahoa Bypass is opened.) Comm. 890: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 10-60, AS AMENDED, (Bill 276) RELATING TO PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND FINANCING THEREOF FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2010 TO JUNE 30, 2011 (adds the Department of Public Works, Kapiolani Street Extension Project for $600,000 to the Capital Budget. This project to extend Kapiolani Street from Mohouli Street to Lanikaula Street is to enhance circulation between UH Hilo and its vicinity and Downtown Hilo.) From Finance Director Nancy E.
