Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 185, reports as follows:
Bill No. 185, transmitted by Council Chair James Y. Arakaki, via Communication No. 587,
dated December 14, 1999, amends Ordinance No. 99-71, as amended, the Capital Budget, ending
June 30, 2000, by adding the following project:
PUBLIC WORKS
Upper Waiakea Stream Flood Control Improvements 110-299-5292.24-1 I S $900,000
Funds for this project(s) shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund - $900,000
Fund Balance and/or other Sources
This project will study and evaluate the flooding problems of the Waiakea-Uka area and the
Waiakea Stream above Komohana Street, and to provide flood control improvements where
required in the aforementioned area.
For informational purposes, Mr. Tyler and Ms. Jacobson voted kanalua twice.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No.185, and
recommends it pass first reading.
